Same here. Have to select the check box "Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off"

I have the same situation, not only with the hdmi port but also with the display port, the GPU does not work, if you use the EGPU you can wake it up, but there is a high probability that the fan of the EGPU card will roar, but nothing is displayed.
