Full screen "window" device on 1 monitor with mac (10.15)

Using 2 monitors, one would usually desire the score interface on one and the window device on the other.

When setting either score or the Window device to full screen with this setup, the other monitor goes blank. This is the case for a few programs on Mac, but not all. vlc and Ableton live apparently allow for setting full screen independently on different monitors, witch would suggest that something is doe in the software rather than on the system.

Hmm, my Mac only has one monitor output, I can't even try to reproduce it :(

I'll try to reproduce, but I feel it may be more of a mac issue.

yes I know that on Linux it works correctly
