[question] are nodejs bindings supported ?

Open ju1ius opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

Hi,

I noticed there's an ossia-node directory in the source tree, but the docs don't make any mention of a nodejs binding. Furthermore, the supported nodejs version is very old (>= 0.8.0) and the bindings file hasn't been updated in 2 years...

Hence this question: are the nodejs bindings actually supported ? If they are, would you care to provide some directions on how to build and use them ?

Thanks !

Hello, not very much. I did a first experiment a long time ago as you can see, but due to the extremely hard to use Node API and exactly no one requesting it until you did, it has stayed as an experiment. However if there's interest I'd be happy to put in some work to support it... but it's months away of being production-ready, when I look at the amount of boilerplate necessary just to show the name of a C++ object in JS.
