Right now two power supplies are necessary for the BBB and the CRT. Can we power the BBB from the same 12V (1.5A) supply that drives the CRT?

 There is something wrong with the VGA timing when running X that causes pixels on the sides to be duplicated. Perhaps front/back porch are too long?
