CSS overrides default styling of the whole page

The already compiled clients CSS includes lines that not only style the communicators components, but also the whole HTML and all the components with combined queries like *, h1, h2, h3. I tried removing some of them manually from the compiled and minified .css, but not all of them can be removed without breaking styling of the communicator component.
