oso AWS Amplify/AppSync as a Framework to support

AWS Amplify / AppSync has some really great Authentication / Authorization mechanisms but mostly as primitives. Seems that Oso could level that up quite nicely.

Hey @rberger! Thanks for opening an issue for this. I agree that could be a great place to use oso. Just to clarify, were you thinking this would be something like a custom GraphQL transform?

I'm not sure what the best way would be to integrate it. Ideally it would fit into the Appsync mechanism like in here https://docs.aws.amazon.com/appsync/latest/devguide/security.html#fine-grained-access-control

But I'm not an expert in Oso or Appsync access control. Not sure if the mechanisms are compatible. But I do know that the Appsync mechanisms are at a low level of abstraction compared to Oso.

Aha, I see what you mean. That's super helpful, thank you! It's totally aligned with the kind of things we want oso to be used for. We will let you know if/when we start working on this.
