First Class Seats by Smarte Carte

Open 1ec5 opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Smarte Carte operates a network of massage chairs at airports and shopping malls called “First Class Seats by Smarte Carte”. It isn’t clear to me how to tag massage chairs offered as an amenity. One possibility is amenity=chair massage=shiatsu, but when there are a bunch of them in a cluster, should it rise to the level of shop=massage?

Are massage chairs shiatsu? Do they even have a specific massage style? I have this question for amenity=vending_machine on refreshment corners formed by multiple vending machines only. Similar to the situation of what to do when a =parcel_locker occupies a shop space --- is it the machine itself, or service space.

Smarte Carte’s documentation describes it as a shiatsu massage. I have no personal experience with these machines or massages in general, but if Smarte Carte’s claims are dubious, we could be less specific.
