The dgu.hr images for Croatia stopped working

The dgu.hr: Croatia 2021-2022 aerial imagery does not load in Go Maps. I see the message " This API requires a token with styles:tiles scope." Go Maps should automatically pick up the changes when it is fixed here (https://github.com/bryceco/GoMap/issues/887#issuecomment-3194751690).

Yes. I just re-installed the app from the App Store, as advised in https://github.com/bryceco/GoMap/issues/887#issuecomment-3194751690 and the problem is still present.

Has this imagery worked for you previously? The only two things I can think of is that this imagery might be geoblocked in certain regions (typically outside of the country of origin), which I don't think is the case here since I'm able to access it from the US. The other being that they're blocking VPNs/Tor/proxies.

Hi @arch0345, thank you for investing your time in this topic. It has not worked before for me. I just installed the app a week ago for the first time and it never worked with the imagery from dgu.hr (neither the current version which is the default for Croatia nor the older versions). Other imagery works flawlessly. Geoblocking seems unlikely in my case since I tried it from the country itself as well as with a German IP address. I don't use VPNs, proxies, etc. I am not sure what the message "This API requires a token with styles:tiles scope." means but it might be the key to this issue.

FWIW I quickly tested with Vespucci from Switzerland works without issues except for the watermark:

@b-abel does the problem happen with other (older) Croatia images too?

There are also new Croatia images in preparation so you may try them when they become merged (see https://github.com/osmlab/editor-layer-index/pull/2836).

While DGU (publisher of those layers) has an option for API tokens access on different URLs (to avoid watermarking), the Croatia layers published in ELI do not use any tokens and should not be blocked based on geolocation.

Also, the layer work for me in iD, JOSM, Vespucci (and have been working for long time, without any issues noticed by me). Could you check if those layers work from your internet connection in any of those editors @b-abel ?

Also, does any other such aerial imagery layer work for you in GoMaps (in Croatia or elsewhere)?

I'm not an iOS user so I cannot test. 🤷‍♂️ But that message "This API requires a token with styles:tiles scope." does not sound like it came from aerial imagery provider DGU.hr -- quick web search seems to indicate that it is related to MapBox API usage instead (and GoMaps seems to be using MapBox)

Does any other iOS user can confirm or deny those problems with Gomaps?

This is coming from the Mapbox Locator layer, which would be an overlay on top of "dgu.hr: Croatia 2021-2022" so we can ignore that error message wrt this issue.

Other problems seem to be related to the projection, so you can close this issue here.
