Let's admit it.

What should be on the home page?

• From a first time user point of view
• From a regular user point of view

I suspect users visit osmium home page with two main goals:

1. Create a new fit,
2. Search fits.

So those two actions should be the most prominent options on the page. A large search bar and a large button to create a new fit. The current search bar is fine, but the link to create a new fit should be much more prominent.

I would remove all four of the fit boxes (new, popular, etc.). They can live on a separate page. The stats and tags can probably stay, as long as they don't steal the focus.
