As new user, it's not obvious how to select the ship to fit

Hi, I'm totally new to this tool, thanks for the work on it

I just started creating my first ever loadout. I saw an obvious "No ship selected," I figured I should start there so I clicked the text, and empty avatar, and hamburger menu. I typed Brutix into search and nothing came up. I started writing this ticket, pressed enter to submit the search and did eventually find "Use Ship" on the results.

It would make new user experience easier if you provided a hint "Search for a ship" in this state, it would also be easier if the search results appear in real time as I type.
