Overview

This pull request introduces a new function that efficiently gathers and organizes transfer history for a specified football league.

Changes

New Functionality: A new method, get_league_transfer_history, has been added. The method accepts two parameters, year and league, allowing users to specify the transfer history of all the teams in the league by the given year.

Details

Year (int): This parameter identifies the relevant season for which the transfer data is required. It corresponds to the year in which the football season ends. For example, for the 2022/23 season, users should input 2023.

League (str): This parameter should be the name of the football league from which the transfer data needs to be extracted. The list of available leagues can be referenced from 'shared_functions.py'.

Return Value: The method returns a Pandas DataFrame containing detailed transfer information for each player in the specified league and season. This data frame includes crucial data points like transfer type, transfer value, and other relevant details obtained from the players' Transfermarkt profiles.
