What an interesting way of doing layouts!

I was wondering how I can use this to layout two or more equally sized widgets horizontally, without specifying their size, so that they fill up the space at the top of a window. Kind of like a QHBoxLayout in Qt and similar to this picture:

Is such a thing already possible or, if not, can your method be extended to support it?
