This should be part of the broader discussion on the SDK for trestle.

Trestle tasks API was designed for CLI based workflows to provide complete flexibility`

The trestle transforms API was designed to provide discrete workflows. The API is probably incomplete in that the different types of transforms are not all covered.

I think we need to review what's required out of these APIS and what would be a priority in terms of transformations in the future
