Autocomplete doesn't always work on .js files

The autocomplete feature is a little buggy on standard .js files (it works fine on .jsx though). It didn't work when I first installed the plugin but it worked when I restarted atom and then it stopped working a while later. It works again if I disable/enable the plugin. I haven't changed any settings, everything is the default.
