That's by design (at the moment). The game is designed in such a way that there may be some time between a kill and the corresponding kill entry. Since the game master should know best when the last kill really is entered into the system, he should be the one to close the game.

I agree that there are arguments to close the game automatically, but until there's a foolproof date handling implementation, I better leave it in manual mode. I also leave this ticket open for discussion, because I think that there should be a cool-off period after the game in which the last kills could be entered -- but I need input/arguments/thoughts about the length of that period. I would set it to about a day, considering that not everyone owns a smartphone, but I'm willing to discuss this.
