Make access to 'move' commands easier on tablets
- [x] I have searched for existing issues that may be the same as or related to mine. Hi, I love this app and hope development for it will continue for a long time. I will donate to it as soon as a donation option is available. One thing I'd like to see implemented is an option to make the 'move' commands visible all the time. I use orgzly regularly to create outlines for research papers, and I do it on a tablet. Moving headlines around requires activating the move commands by selecting an item and then touching the ... option on the right hand corner, and then touch again on the 'move' button. This is a reasonable design for a phone, since screen real estate is limited and you don't want all available commands on the screen at the same time. But for a tablet it's rather inefficient, as it adds two intermediate steps that are completely unnecessary, and frankly, quite annoying when you're focused on your own ideas and thoughts. I would like to see an option to keep the move commands visible and accessible all the time, at least on big screen devices like tables. Thank you!
I personally use move, refile and delete more often than copy/cut/paste. A general ability to pick which commands have priority (or show up where) would be awesome.
Sorry, but how do you open the commands to move again? If I click the note it just opens it for edit
OK, I found it. I have to long tap on the note, then click the three dots and then select move and then, move. I will also want to have it present all the time, I don't use the options that appear by default, and even on my phone I have plenty of screen space. In fact I think I opened a similar issue some time ago
Even if it's not the move arrows as first class icons alongside the clipboard icons (that I can't imagine using), having the intermediate Move item as an icon alongside the clipboard icons world be so much less frustrating.
P.S. I don't understand why the title says tablets, this would be handy on phones too.
