Set state of new note by notebook

Would it be possible to have the state of new notes be set on a per notebook basis? I noticed in the settings the state of new notes can be set globally but it would be nice if say notes created in a todo notebook would have the state set as TODO by default but notes created in other notebooks would not.

I second that request with the addition of a more general idea:

It would be nice if many settings would be based per notebook.

_For example I use a notebook as a shopping list which contains todo items. Setting an item to DONE sets the tag CLOSED to the current date which clutters the list. Otherwise I need the dates to be displayed in another notebook (used as a calendar).

If the idea is favored, we could collect a list of of what should be a per notebook setting.

I third this :) I just logged on to github specifically to make this request myself when I found this post while checking for similar issues.

I was particularly wanting to set displayed metadata and the new note state at a per-notebook level. I definitely agree with @SanskritFritz too. I can see significant usefulness in being able to have per-notebook settings for pretty much everything under the headings "note" and "new note" from the settings menu "notes & notebooks".

That would be a huge increase in functionality for me, but even as it is now, I adore this app - thanks so much for making it! I particularly appreciate how it brings the power of org-mode (which I only learned of from the orgzly documentation) to non-programmers.

Wanted to come in here to say this is a sorely needed feature. Some notebooks will contain primarily todos while an inbox-type notebook may contain largely notes, some of which I may turn into todos when synced with the desktop. As suggested above, the same is surely true for a couple of other characteristics / currently global settings. Thanks!
