Quicker multi-note selection

Open claiire opened this issue 8 years ago • 3 comments

I have some checklists in orgzly that I use for checking the contents of my bag before leaving the house in the morning. It would be useful for quickly resetting these items if there were a way to

  • Select all subitems of an item (more preferable, probably easier to implement?)

or

  • "click and drag" to select multiple items (kinda nice, not necessary, could be useful in searches)

Currently you can long-press an item and then just press each additional item you want to select and set the states of them collectively, which works, but if you have a checklist that you go through a lot, it can be tedious, especially if you have a longer checklist. A way to rapidly select multiple items without having to make individual presses would be very nice.

Another way I've seen this implemented (for selecting a range of items) is by selecting the first item, the last item and then hitting a button that does the work of selecting all the way through between them. (i.e. in Cx File Explorer)

A more standard way is:

  • long tap the first
  • long tap the last will select all between

@9z0 well yes but Orgzly can function with both long and short press for either selection or modifying
