Link to Configurable Product in Cart

Need clicking "edit" on simple product in cart to link to the configurable product page. How do I edit the code to make this happen?

Adding a simple product from configurable product to cart lists the simple one in cart, which is what I want. There is no dropdown working to change to different other product under the configurable, and clicking the "edit" link takes it back to the simple product page. Help? :)

Or does anyone have a solution to this problem? The "edit" link in cart is pointless when you can't update the configurable options, it needs to be redirected back to the configurable product page and not the simple product page.
