Nevada's terrain almost completely flattened
i noticed the nevada being grass issue only was with Las Vegas and anywhere around it for some reason. i went outer parts and found out nevada is almost flat. Its canyons and everything are just colored spots made to "resemble" the canyons.
I'm not sure you will need to send a specific example. The Grand Canyon, a place very close to Nevada, generates fine.
Grand canyon generates fine but the place next to it, lake mead seems to be completely flattened including the lake itself.
(one of the stuff next to the lake)
(the lake itself i think)
As for most parts of nevada being grassy I think minecraft read one of its soil as being grass so it generated a grassland. Idk what soil data you're using but it could be nice to look into that. Maybe it should use some BoP idk.
Is this with advanced water on? If this is the middle of the lake, the depths of lakes is not accurate and the elevation is just the surface of the water. So that would cause it to look flat without advanced water
The place next to it might just not be that steep on average. Also, small abrupt drops are often too small for the elevation data to pick up so theres not much to be done about that.
ill see what it looks like with advanced waters on. i assumed the spots were canyons and didnt feel like i should of turned it on since i saw some reports of their towns "flooding" with advanced waters
nothing changes with advanced waters except that the road next to lake mead is replaced with water. also i found out most parts of utah is also not a desert as it should similar to nevada....
