Call for Lead Maintainers: GraalVM CE 25 Backports Repository
GraalVM 25 Community Edition is scheduled to receive updates until January 2026. As with previous releases 17 and 21, there's a community interest in maintaining an open-source backports repository, that can serve as central source for all vendors producing open-source builds of GraalVM 25.
To support this goal, we will create graalvm-community-jdk25u for community-driven backports and version-specific fixes.
We are inviting GraalVM community members to step up as maintainers of this repository. We expect maintainers to have prior experience maintaining or contributing to large open-source projects.
Lead Maintainers will:
- oversee community backports and version-specific bug fixes
- coordinate contributions and reviews
- invite additional community maintainers as needed
As a reference, previously @zakkak maintained graalvm-community-jdk21u.
