Expression-Search-NG f's up my toolbar
I tried all the various settings for menu bars, mail bars, tab bars, etc, and there's no way I can see to keep Expression-Search-NG from f'ing up my toolbar.
One example, just one, is that it irredeemably messes up my Quick Filters button and I can't have that. I use the Quick Filters button a lot and need it and depend on it.
The only thing I want Expression-Search-NG to do is add its additional search criteria to the Search Messages window. I found that really useful.
Is there a way to have Expression-Search-NG not make changes to my menu bars, mail bars, tab bars, etc, at all? Maybe in a future release? I'm running Thunderbird 102.12.0 (64-bit) on Win10x64.
I have 102.12.0 and the exp search input box sits nicely in the quick filter bar if in options, serachbox in quickfilterbar is clicked. Same for menu bar, toolbar. Win 10 64 bit. What is the quickfilterbar button? I see something similiar (a button to show/hide quickfilterbar) in 115, but not in my 102. Or is this from another addon?

I haven't used it in a couple weeks. I'll post back here when I can set up a test to repro what I'm talking about. Thanks
Let me second the original post. I was using 102.12 (or .13). Expression Search put its own button "Expression" there, leaving the original Quick Search button in place. But the Quick Search button was disabled. Okay, Expression Search used to take over that button anyway. But then today Expression Search stopped working. Dead. No search. It put up its own dialog box but didn't search. And neither did the old button. Disabling Expression Search didn't fix it. Removing Expression Search (which I paid for twice, originally and recently towards the 115 update; I'm a fan) did not fix it either.
I thought about reinstalling T'bird but the obvious download (I hadn't found the archive yet) was of 115. That not only doesn't take Expression Search, but it doesn't appear to have a working Quick Search button either! The Quick Filter button totally misbehaves and doesn't take text input. So I'm stuck again with no search and a hot mess of a new version of T'bird which frankly sucks compared to the old one.
I'm thinking of reinstalling 102 (from archive) but I want to make sure that it still searches, and I don't mean using the terrible "regular" search function that seems to be there because somebody's cousin wrote it 20 years ago and somebody promised their gramdma that they wouldn't remove little Biffy's code. Otherwise I can't explain it.
I have TB 102.12.0 and that works with Expression Search on Win 11 64 bit. Maybe there is something changed inn TB 102.13.0 that creates a conflict. Sometimes, it helps to remove an addon and close TB in file menu (so that all windows are closed), wait a little bit so that Windows ends all processes and then restart TB (actually for all addons that behave strange). And try reinstalling the addon. Maybe before disable others, there may be conflicts between addons as well. Klaus
