how to search \d\.\d?

Just new to Expression-Search-NG. Tried to search for a chapter reference number mentioned in some email with the expression "b:5.9". But the mail has not been found. What did I do wrong?

Oh, I see - TB help tells me: 78.13.0. This version is currently not fully supported.
