GTAV ENHANCED doesn't work
dxgi.dll can't open the game, and other name file can open the game but nothing happened, just doesn't work. wish wish wish may fix this and story mode could benefit with optiscaler.
Its works with version.dll named dll
GTA5_Enhanced.exe not import dxgi.dll
there‘s already a version.dll in the directory, so how to do it
Its works as version.dll, do you disable BattleEye?
Method 1 (Steam):
- Open the properties page of this game on Steam.
- Add -nobattleye parameter to launch options.
- Start the game.
Method 2 (Rockstar Games Launcher):
- Open Rockstar Games Launcher’s settings page.
- Uncheck the BattlEye option.
- Start the game.
thanks, i will have a try
Pinpointed this issue to one of the latest nightly builds. After testing several builds on Github Actions, v20250301 is the one from which it stops working for me. v20250228 works. Could be Nvidia specific. Tested on an RTX 3070 Ti. One user on Reddit with an AMD GPU claims later builds work for them.
Update: Tested again, and now all the builds work fine, including those that didn't work before. No idea what fixed it on my end, maybe a Steam update that resolved some overlay conflict.
Can confirm Optiscaler works fine on RX 6950XT on the Enhanced Steam version with disabled Battleye, both dxgi.dll and winmm.dll, tried with OptiScaler_v0.7.7-pre7_20250310. Both DLSS and FSR3.1 inputs seem to work fine.
Attempted to install Optiscaler with the Epic Games version and get an error from the Rockstar Launcher before even getting into the game. I'm using version OptiScaler_v0.7.7-pre7_20250311. I've tried with dxgi.dll, version.dll, and winmm.dll. All three fail to launch the game. Using and AMD 9070XT. I've disabled Battleye from within the Rockstar Launcher.

Could you try FGType=nofg in Optiscaler.ini?
For anyone else having crashes, please try either adding Fakenvapi to get DLSS inputs (should be just for AMD/Intel users) or if you want only FSR inputs without spoofing, then try Dxgi=false in Optiscaler.ini. That should fix the crashes as per Discord comments.
Fakenvapi instructions can be found under Wiki/Installation

I am in the exact same situation as you. Were you able to fix it?

Yes! I followed the info on the wiki, using Dxgi=false and fakenvapi, also set frame gen to nofg. Although very importantly, I had to set the AMD d12 DLL from Optiscaler to Read Only so that the Rockstar Launcher didn’t keep overwriting it.
After I installed the file version.dll, the following error appeared. How can I fix this?
ERROR: Failed to copy "nvngx_dlss.dll" in optiscaler setup any help? thanks

find the same file, create a copy, rename it to nvngx.dll and that's should be it
