Spaces in "numbers"
Allowing spaces in text would help English users write rules into their puzzles, which I would really like.
You can enter space using the panel>A or a >␣ , but it's confusing and not easy to use. I added an alternative method. In the new version, you can enter " " with Shift + space.
Wow, that was fast! Thank you!
Thanks for this feature. This is really helpful.
Huh, it doesn't seem to be working...
I just checked its working. You need to be in Number Mode and then Long SubMode. Only then it will work.
It's not, though. I'm in L o n g N u m b e r mode and it's not working. Maybe it's about keyboard type or something? (I tried clearing cache, too.)
Can you try in Browser "Incognito Mode"? Just to recap: Ensuring the following three things: 1) Number Mode 2) Then Select Long 3) Use "Shift + Space" to enter space.
Tried in incognito mode. Does not work.
I see. Not sure then. Maybe opt-pan himself knows. It could be an Operating System or Keyboard Issue or if (shift + space) is reserved for something else on your PC. Mine is Windows 10 on Laptop, Just FYI.
Since I am developing only on the Japanese keyboard, I need more information about your environment. Please check the following.
- "Shift + Space" works only on the mode '数字'>'大','中','小','長文'. It doesn't work on the other modes like '通常'.
- Which number will appear on the following sites? https://keycode.info/ It is assumed that pressing the Shift key will display 16, and pressing the Space key while pressing the Shift key will display 32. If different, please tell me the number.
I just tried, and the shift-space feature is working perfectly fine for me. I also use the Windows 10 platform under the English language environment.
Just wondering is it possible to extend this feature to add the "new line", e.g. typing "shift-enter" allows you to write on the next line? It is useful when you have cells with large heights and don't want to split the messages on different rows.
Also, at the moment you can only input a maximum of 30 characters which is not enough sometimes. It would be more useful if the limit is raised to 60 or even 120.
Of course, these are not essential features so if it takes too much fuss to implement them, it is absolutely fine as of now. :-)
Sorry for taking so long, here: It's not working on ANY number mode for me. The numbers are 16 for both shifts, and 32 for space, as expected. I use Windows 7 instead of 10, and Google Chrome.
So it's probably an OS difference...
In my Windows7 + Google Chrome, it works. If I can use your computer, I can find the bugs but it's difficult at this time. The only way to deal with it is to update chrome to the latest version or check if another shortcut key is assigned to shift + space. I'm sorry for not helping. Please use space from the panel.
I added the function to enter long text from the textbox. (Number>Panel>Text). I think it's easier than typing a blank with space+shift. Give it a try. You can also use any unicode characters you want by copy and paste.
Nice. Thanks. I just tried it now, cool. Two things: 1) The buttons inside Text mode are in Japanese even for English mode. 2) Do check out my email, not sure if you already replied, I again didn't receive. Sorry I keep mentioning about email here, haha.
Thanks, I revised. I will reply your e-mail soon.
Thank you very much.
