https cert invalid

Open prasket opened this issue 8 years ago • 5 comments

Could not find another way to report this. The ssl cert on https://www.opsschool.org is invalid for the domain.

www.opsschool.org uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:
  *.readthedocs.org, readthedocs.org

Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

Thanks. It's hosted on rtfd.org, who don't currently support custom cname for SSL. http://docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/alternate_domains.html#cname-ssl

Could OpsSchool use something like CloudFlare as a workaround? I had run into the same issue when using Jekyll + GitHub Pages, and it looks like some other users have successfully opted for using CloudFlare when it comes to readthedocs.io hosted sites:

That's a good idea! It's something we can explore.

Can this be revisited? It looks like there's been an update in custom domain SSL support at readthedocs.io:
