Error message was confusing on Addition and Subtraction checkbox question.
We received a report that a student found the feedback message confusing when they submitted a partial answer to a checkbox question. This occurred when the student answered correctly but received feedback indicating they was wrong due to not selecting the full number of answers:
We might want to improve how we handle the "partial answer" error messages for this case and other checkbox questions.
Perhaps an improvement might be to say something like "You are part of the way there" instead of "No, that's not correct" -- since, really, the learner is partially correct in this case. But it might depend on the context of the question.
I am compiling a general guide for scriptwriting here. When I'm done, I'll copy it over to the guideline for each team.
However, we would have to do a total overhauling of the existing lessons in the future. I filed this in the Maths tracker for future projects.
