opera dragonfly doesn't work with single-level domains (test server, hosts file)

my url I am trying to debug is http://j/calculators/light-panel-coverage-calculator.html#app but this does not work in opera dragonfly - it wants a .com or .org or something with a . in the domain. I don't do that for my test server. this is using a hosts file to make the test domain for the test server.

it does not recognize all the files. the php URL inside the iframe it recognizes, and browser.js which appears to be something inside opera which it shouldn't be looking at.

the js files I have are not shown and neither are the 2 sections of script in the html5 file. it would be difficult to attach file files since they are in different places. could you fix?

hmm. it appears to work if I click reload in the debugger. but only if it offers this. this seems to offer reload only when I switch tabs with debugger open, close debugger, switch tabs back, then open debugger with ctrl-shift-i again.
