I will give it a try with dev version of mwoffliner 1.14 and see if it goes any better
Did not worked with dev version of 1.14, it complains there is not available desktop renderer

Problem is that REST API has been removed: https://rationalwiki.org/w/rest.php returns a 404 "File not found" and VisualEditor extension is not available.
Currently we have no other way to retrieve HTML of articles (we need either the REST API or VisualEditor extension), so we cannot proceed with this mediawiki anymore.
Unless rationalwiki.org maintainer gives us sufficient access to one of these two endpoints or mwoffliner is modified to fetch articles from somewhere else, we cannot proceed with this website.

I presently don't have access to the Twitter, because Twitter is being stupid. It's not a good way to contact us in any case.
We don't have Visual Editor installed at all.

@davidgerard Thank you for your feedback. We are currently implementing the support of the action=parse API (as an other way to retrieve HTML). I guess this might finally allow us to refresh the very old Rationalwiki ZIM.

@Popolechien Rationalwiki is on Mastodon https://mstdn.social/@RationalWiki. Considering they are rational guys, we can fairly assume they prefer to be contacted there!
The social medias are all entirely ad-hoc volunteer enterprises of variable reliabilty, not official contact points. Trent Toulouse would normally be the contact, but he's frequently AWOL and is mostly dealing with a legal threat against the wiki right now. We have in fact no reasonable or reliable official contact points.
this is annoying and ridiculous (not least to me much of the time), but is also very volunteer, so you know how it is.
Anyway, my personal email is a good start for the present matter. I'll see who else I can round up as a good contact point.
@davidgerard I really appreciate you came up on this issue, but I want to warn you a bit to ensure you do not loose your time.
As @kelson42 said, I'm currently getting closer and closer to a point where we will probably be able to fetch RationalWiki into a ZIM again with existing APIs, so please do not spend/waste too much of your time on this.
Should our current path end with a failure (which I honestly doubt ^^), we will keep you posted.
