[FR] Customize target folder when syncing to Google Drive
Bug Report
Bug Description
I've connected Stylus successfully to Google Drive and it says it's syncing changing perfectly well. However, when I go into my Drive, I don't see any additional files or directories that could be from Stylus. This leads me to believe it's not actually storing anything.
I'm also having KeePass sync with my Drive, and that one works fine, which means there isn't anything inherently wrong with my Drive or account or anything around it.
Publishing to userstyles does work, so it is capable of communicating with external servers, I suppose.
System Information
- OS: Windows 10 latest
- Browser: Firefox latest mainstream
- Stylus Version: Latest from Mozilla addons
Additional Context
First time install, and first time ever connecting it to any sync. So, no lingering config that needs to be removed or something.
For whatever reason, gdrive treats app storage differently, with limited access compared to other services. You should be able to find it by visiting gdrive, clicking the cog icon, and navigating to "manage apps".
IIRC, options are limited to deleting or restricting access.
If the actual location was all you were missing, please close this issue.
Do you mean that one?

Yeah, "hidden app data", so can you make it, ehm, not-hidden then? I want to be able to "get to it". There's an entry like this for KeePass as well, which successfully creates and maintains a file at the root level. That's why I mentioned KeePass.
I don't have much insight beyond the location, unfortunately. IDK what keepass does differently. @eight04 set up the sync feature, and how that data is stored.
I assume gdrive intends app storage to be protected, and that any alternative method may be considered ill-advised, but that's purely speculation.
AFAIK, the way it's currently set up, access is limited, as I mentioned previously.
There are some discussions about giving Stylus full access to GDrive in #1345.
I found that my previous comment is wrong. #1345 is for OneDrive not GDrive.
