Side by side images in diary

And it's screwed up the layout of my images (photo thumbnails) wherever I was arranging them side-by-side in the past. e.g.:

...but maybe I'm the only one doing that :-)

We're displaying kramdown images wrong. There's a syntax for standalone images ![caption](url){:standalone} but we are treating them all as standalone by giving them display: block.
