Use bigger midpoint arrows in selected ways
Description
Here we are looking at the little arrows in a way.
You know, the ones that if you pull on (tug on), they become new nodes.
So far so good. The problem is they are too hard to notice.
Barely noticeable. Compare Vespucci, where they are super big and red etc.
I mean we are in the editor, trying to edit. We don't have to make them inconspicuous like this was a general public map viewer.

Also there are factors, like background, or "intermittent stream", that make it worse.
I believe it was a deliberate design decision to not (1) make the arrows stand out more than the actual vertices of the way and (2) reduce visual clutter in the map while still hinting at users that one can add new vertices. Besides that, you always have the option to double-click on any position of the way to create a new vertex.
And that's what happens. We end up throwing up our hands and double clicking instead of trying to discern where they put the little arrows.
It's sometimes a deal breaker. We could add some bends in a creek, but then we don't bother because it takes too much trouble.
It's tricky to find a good balance between visibility of the markers and the rest of the map rendering…
Suggestions for concrete improvements are welcome!
