Should KeepRight be removed?
The wiki lists KeepRight as "Unmaintained" software and the website itself reports "2024-04-16". I noticed because in my city it reports a fixme that was deleted 8 months ago.
Maybe it should be removed as a layer from iD? Does it make sense to have reports to errors that could not be there anymore?
Asked the same question at Keepright some 2 or more years ago without ticket response and then quite some time later the updates resumed and then on the quoted day above it stopped again. A pity since it's most helpful to uneartth things to fix which are usually easy to resolve.
7c84d1fb5cc55f8bf3b2d1e1cc3b038461551481 hides the overlay for now being selected in the UI. This preserves the actual code and translations for now: I've contacted the maintainer of the KeepRight website and asked if the service could be brought back any time soon. If that reply is negative, the integration can be removed fully (see branch).
I heard back from the maintainer of keepright. They are planning to restore the updates in the near future. So, let's keep the service in for at least this release cycle to give the maintainer a bit of time to get it running again.
