Tagging opening_hours for "shopping sundays" in Poland
Description
In Poland, shops are not open on all Sundays. Instead, there are designated "shopping Sundays" – see green Sundays. Currently, there's no easy way to map them, so no one does. As a result, opening hours on Sundays in Poland are just unreliable.
Solutions
-
Solution 1 (not an ID feature): The simplest approach would be to distinguish regular Sundays from shopping Sundays using labels like "Su" and "shopSu", for example.
-
Solution 2: Add a button in ID: "Open only on shopping Sundays", which would automatically select the applicable Sundays each year. Since these dates change annually, the mapping should update every year.

There was a more recent discussion about shopping Sundays on the forum. I’d suggest engaging with that discussion first, to make sure there’s buy-in from the local and global communities, since a lot of stakeholders are involved in coordinating any change to the opening hours syntax, however minor.
Yeah, this definitely has to be discussed first to find a suitable tagging solution for such situations. There's nothing to do on the iD side in the meantime.
