Could not square due to being an end point

Description

Empty area is created One corner is attempted to be squared, could not square due to being an end point (i.e. also a start point) other corners work fine.

I have not seen this message before when attempting to square corners. Why is it not possible to square end point, exactly? (it thinks it is a line, not area?)
