- Shortcut at roundabout created.

This is a mapping issue, not an issue with the application. There should always be sufficient spacing between intersections with on-/off roads on roundabouts. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:junction%3Droundabout#Connecting_ways (also, roads should go mostly straight on to the roundabout, not making odd angles / zig-zag / going in parallel direction)
I have modified the given example.
I'd say this works as expected. Sure, the result of a validation fix is not always 100% ideal, but it can always be improved by further refining it in iD.
