Sad, even if MI9 MIUI11.0.9 is turned on USB debugging (security settings), it will still report to minitouch: "Open: permission denied"

@arcfree , you have to use the latest code from master branch, instead the archived v3 4 1 version.
I have the same issue with Mi A3 device (Android One, rooted device), I see that change /dev/input/event0 permission to root get connected and visible on STF, but if i'm performing device reboot I loose permissions and con not reconnect to stf. Still looking for fix
As I mention, if your device is rooted you can create a task that on each reboot you change event0 ... event5 file permission. it work well for me.
