The tab command gets stuck

Describe the bug

The tab command triggered e.g. via TA*B does not released and causes the browser focus to continuously adjust.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to a site with many focusable elements in a browser
  2. stroke TA*B
  3. repeat a few times
  4. browser focus starts scrolling all over the focusable elements

Expected behavior

the stroke produces one

Operating system

  • OS: Arch Linux
  • Plover Version Plover 5.0.0rc1

I never encountered this issue but it's entirely possible that the browser (Firefox?) doesn't handle too fast keystrokes. A workaround may be to increase the delay between adjacent key presses to say 12ms.

Increasing the delay reduces the incidence, but does not resolve the problem. Moreover, the delay is completely impractical for usage of Plover, so this is not a fix, this is a poor workaround.

Does it occur on other browsers or programs, and which browser are you seeing the issue in?

I've tested Firefox, Zen, Chrome, De-Googled Chromium, Vivaldi on Linux.
