Status Page - Ability to Group Monitors
Description
It'd be great if it were possible to group monitors on a status page, which is ideal for situations where more than 50 or so monitors exist.
I didn't phrase the above particularly well, apologies!
In terms of grouping, this should be something available irrespective of the total number of monitors.
For many providers, this would offer separation between the display and grouping of those monitors / resources.
In example, the hosting industry may want to group them by physical location / country, or similarly, by service type.
Hey @brixly! Understand and fully agree! (and similar to #1307 - could be reworked with the status pages)
By grouping them, the question would be how to aggregate the results.
- create a bar chart with aggregated data
- create an accordion displaying the worst status
I believe that aggregating the data could falsify the result depending on the chosen periodicity (e.g. a 1m ping that has uptime vs. a 5min ping that is down would keep a relatively high uptime) so I'd rather go for (2.) for now(?! please prove me wrong).
For how to group them, I suggest having a simple drag n drop list with sections. Each section represents a group of monitors (also being able to change order by drag n drop) and has a title.
@brixly this has been done
