Contact List Extra Information & Next Steps
From @evalica:
The idea to list contact people is very good.
My only comments are:
- is the list finite? how can we become part of the Administrators or have access to admin rights on Medium or Twitter, etc.? Should we set up some groups? Is this the decision of the initial owner, or a community decision?
- What will happen to a service if the initial owner is not active anymore? Do we kill the service account or find replacement?
But these might be questions for the future. Anyway this is a good start. Thank for handling it.
I’d say there should be at least 2 people for each service, ideally 3–5. Anyone who is interested in joining the maintenance team of a specific service gets access.
Which would mean we need more admin for Facebook and the website.
What are the responsibilities for the maintainers?
Also I'm not sure what website means. Isn't the website content committed in git. So isn't everybody that is a GitHub admin also in charge of the website?
@evalica controlling the domain name. I'm not sure we need more than one person on that, but if @jancborchardt suddenly gets abducted by aliens (don't do that Jan) we won't be able to pay for it.
Just sent a mail to my registrar Gandi.net asking about if it’s possible to set a joint owner, just in case I get run over by a heavy truck while bicycling and die. :)
