Create "Join Us" page

As a new person who has heard (and is curious) about OSD and perhaps "joining" us, where would I go to get an an overview and find best way to join?

Currently, the contribute page is one part of this action. And the new people page discussed in #147 is also relevant.

Peersonally, I think this should be a high level link and in multiple "call to action" places. I'd suggest topbar nav and replacing Forum with:

  • Join
  • Participate

And the content on this page should link to all the various places OSD is sprawling and going to... I just recently learned there's an active Telegram group... perhaps even refactoring the content on Contribute page would be right step.

Hi, this seems like work that I can contribute to!, if nobody is currently working on this, I would love a go. @bnvk

I kind of see the main 'join us' call to action as joining the discourse forum and posting in the 'introductions' thread: https://discourse.opensourcedesign.net/t/introductions-come-in-say-hi/41/272 I see this as the way that people 'join' the community to chat, participate etc.

Unless a person wants to become a 'core' team member which is represented here:https://github.com/opensourcedesign/organization

on the contribution page under 'organisation'

What I think I'm saying is that while I agree with a 'Join us' page possibly replacing or being combined with the 'contribute' page. I think the task here is more a design and content task right now than a 'create the page in code'
