Rename "contact us" to "community channels" or similar.
On our index.html, there are two lists of contact links, one below "Contact us", one in the footer.

Suggestion:
- We may want to disable the footer for the index.html
- …and add "code of conduct"
- …and rename it to "our channels" or "community channels" etc.
…the "join us" section has the "banner-social-buttons", I was unsure about deleting it/renaming it/applying another class (which?) or just keeping it (which would be semantically not ideal)
@Jc-L since you asked about clarifying this:
- The footer on the bottom (no button style) is for all pages, so that should be there
- The buttons slightly above are calls to action only on the front page
- If we add Open Collective, it should also be added in the footer.
- We should probably remove the "Join us!" link, as it only makes people join Github and that seems like we are mainly on there. But really we want people to join the forum. So It’s best to replace that button in the button row with "Code of Conduct" as in the footer.
What do you think?
@jancborchardt Seems clear to me. Will propose something for this (not in the coming days however).
I think this issue is out of date now given our main page bottom page & footer looks like this:
But I think the issue could be updated to still propose that: We make the front page only 'buttons' more call to action-y like 'Follow us on twitter' 'Join us on Github' 'Join our forum' 'Donate to our Open Collective' 'Read our code of conduct but then it really isn't a 'contact us' section s much as a 'things we want you to do' section so I think this whole section needs some design thinking honestly :)
New issue or edit this one?
