Explore Iceberg tables in Cloudflare R2
What is it?
R2 Data Catalog is now in public beta https://developers.cloudflare.com/r2/pricing/
R2 is cheaper than GCS in every way (storage, operation charges, egress etc) https://developers.cloudflare.com/r2/pricing/ https://cloud.google.com/storage/pricing#north-america
With a managed Iceberg table in R2, it becomes free for any query engine in any cloud to work with it. Definitely P2 for now, but worth remembering this option.

I created a bucket called iceberg on R2, where I've enabled the Data catalog, which implicitly means we have R2 SQL. This is pretty cool.
FWIW, they are only charging for R2 storage right now, not the data catalog or SQL access.
R2 Pricing is strictly cheaper than S3 or GCS

One benefit of this is the free egress. We can always egress to S3 if we find that it's not working out for us
