Icons in GUI are pixellated

Steps to reproduce

Open the GUI on Mac.

Expected result

Icons are sharp.

Actual result

We can/should switch to svg in the visualizer window but on the remaining Java/Netbeans ths needs support from the underlying platform which is not available.
