[Question] opensearch_ism_policy_mapping

Hello,

I have 2 questions regarding terraform resource https://github.com/opensearch-project/terraform-provider-opensearch/blob/main/docs/resources/ism_policy_mapping.md

• Regarding the deprecation message, I understand that ism_template in the policy definition can pick automatically the new indexes and it works fine but with existing indexes, I assume the ism_policy_mapping resource should be created.
• if my assumption is correct and ism_policy_mapping should run. is it necessary to define managed_indexes so that when i update the policy it also reflects the managed indexes?
