[BUG] After logging in via SSO (OpenID) saved object URL redirects to the home page instead of the intended dashboard

What is the bug? The saved object URL redirects to the homepage after SSO (OpenID) login instead of the intended dashboard page.

How can one reproduce the bug? Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Log in using SSO (OpenID).
  2. Navigate to any dashboard.
  3. Click on "Share" → "Permalink" → "Save Objects" → "Copy Link."
  4. Log out.
  5. Click the copied link.
  6. Log in again using SSO (OpenID).
  7. Instead of landing on the dashboard, you are redirected to the homepage or the dashboards list page.

What is the expected behavior? The link should direct to the correct dashboard URL.

What is your host/environment?

  • OS: CentOS 7
  • Version OpenSearch/OpenSearch Dashboards Version: 2.15
  • Plugins
