Is your feature request related to a problem? Support Fluent bit in trace analytics and app analytics

What solution would you like? We need to align on a schema to add support for fluent bit trace data

  1. Overview of Fluent Bit + OTEL Tracing
  • Does Fluent Bit follow OTEL/OTLP?
  • Opensearch Exporter for OTEL collector - timeline?
  1. OTEL Tracing and OpenSearch today (Jaegar / Data Prepper)
  • Heavily schemtized
  • Will need to Add a new schema to support OTEL/OSS/
  1. Fluent Bit OpenSearch plugin requirements (OTEL → JSON or alternative)
  • Why does this mean? OTEL exporter?
