[ENHANCEMENT] Enhance IndexMetadata update at the follower

  • Enhance IndexMetadata update at the follower to account for the overall fields supported as part of the follower cluster and replication stats for metadata update - Success/failures etc.

Could we also consider enhancing the IndexMetadata for follower to include some auditable fields - Leader Index info, date and time, Created from (Autofollow or Start Replica) and last paused and resumed, etc.

+1 - further these can be exposed through APIs facilitating smarter monitoring.
