[Feature] DataStream missing in data source selector of monitor

What is the bug? DataStreams are not available in the data source selection when creating a monitor in the alerting plugin.

How can one reproduce the bug? Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'Alerting' - 'Monitors'
  2. Click on 'Create monitor'
  3. Scroll down to 'Data source'
  4. Click on 'Select indices'

What is the expected behavior? Aliases, Indices and DataStreams should be displayed.

What is your host/environment?

  • OS on k8s using helm for installation
  • OpenSearch and OpenSearch Dashboards version: 2.7 and 2.6

Do you have any additional context? DataStreams can be viewed in the 'Index Management' plugin under 'Data streams'.

This a feature request as this has not been supported before for Alerting.

I can't add datastream because time field not found image
