Domain Sync & registration error
I'm unable to register new domains with openprovider. I get "invalid request" everytime i try.
Further i receive sync errors for some of the domains, not all. When the sync goes wrong it states:
"domain: Error: Authenticataion/Authorization Failed"
but the next run other domain do sync. So i don't understand why.
It seems communication between whmcs and openprovider api is not completely setup correctly, but i don't knwo how to check this.
Hi @romaict, thanks for contacting us. Could you give us some information:
- what version of WHMCS and what version of the module are you using?
- which cron is giving you this problem? The native WHMCS cron or the Openprovider cron?
- do you have any whitelist or blacklist enabled in Openprovider control panel for either the API connection or for logging into the control panel?
Sorry, but didn't receive the first comment. Problem still exists. Using the latest version of WHMCS and openprovider module, have added IP whitelist. If i start cronjob manually from command line the script seems to work, but with cronjob i get the Authentication error from time to time. I'm using the cron job from whmcs from the cron folder.
Hi @romaict , we've made some updates which should solve issues with the authentication errors. Would you mind letting us know if you still experience this issue with the latest version?
Unfortunatly i still got the same error.
When manually running the script /usr/bin/php -q /home/crons/cron.php do –DomainStatusSync everything seems to work

Hi @romaict,
If the issue still persists, please reach out to our support team with following details:
- module logs
- WHMCS, Openprovider module and PHP version details.
- When running the domain sync job manually, are you running it as a different user? (For example, you are running the domain sync manually as 'root' user and cron job is running under a normal user or jailed shell user).
If you have Openprovider addon installed and activated in your WHMCS, you should be able to download module and activity logs from Addons >> Openprovider >> click on the 'Download' button (after reproducing the issue).
